Baerach is a senior counsel and the director of legal services at Alberta Counsel. His expertise encompasses a broad range of business matters, from startup and growth strategies to financing, reorganization, transition and disposition. With an extensive background in working with private and commercial lenders, Baerach possesses significant experience in the financing and securitization of business ventures. His practice also includes residential and commercial real estate, and estate administration and planning. He is committed to taking the time to thoroughly understand his clients and their businesses before dispensing guidance or advice on available options. His approach involves working in close collaboration with his clients and their business advisers to ensure that the solutions he provides are tailored to meet their unique objectives.
It is important to Baerach to make a strong community contribution. He is part of the law student mentorship program of the Alberta branch of the Canadian Bar Association. He volunteered for several years with Swim Alberta, serving on the board of directors, the Edmonton Project, Business Link and the Edmonton Folk Music Festival. He also volunteered with the University of Alberta’s ThresholdImpact Venture Mentoring Service and established the Moore-Anderson Scholarship for Métis students in law or social work. Baerach is an Indigenous person of Canada with historical roots to the Fort McKay First Nation, is a member of the Métis Nation of Alberta and a member of the Indigenous Bar Association.
