Naomi Christensen brings extensive experience in government, public policy, and strategic communications to Alberta Counsel. She has worked at both the federal and provincial levels of government, including the Parliament of Canada and Office of the Minister of Natural Resources, and the Legislative Assembly of Alberta. During her time in government, Naomi worked on legislative and policy issues, stakeholder relations, communications, and parliamentary strategy.

During her time at a leading public policy think tank, Naomi’s research focused on advancing Western Canada’s interests on the national and global stage, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, and natural resources. Her work included identifying emerging policy issues, developing practical recommendations for governments and industry, and communicating Western Canadian perspectives to audiences across Canada and internationally through traditional and emerging media and public presentations.

Naomi holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Calgary, specializing in Energy and Environmental Policy, and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Political Science from the University of Alberta.
